What do I do if a webpage or website doesn't have a date?

Answer

According to the MLA Style Center blog, if a website doesn't have a publication date, use the copyright date of the website in your works cited entry.  If the copyright date includes more than one year, only use the last year listed("Can a copyright date be used").

The MLA Style Center blog states to not use placeholders for information you don't know, such as the date (n.d.), unless you are instructed to do so by a teacher or professor("The work I'm citing doesn't have a publication date").
